Intention
Each day presents new opportunity to view life from a different perspective. Sometimes we get so wrapped up in the daily grind that we forget to stop for a moment and reflect on the beauty that surrounds us or just be present in the moment. The daily perspective is a personal blog reminding me to pause each day and take in a moment or experience, capture it and store that moment in time.

Less is more
It’s been a while planning for this hike and I have been mulling over whether to pack my DSLR camera or just rely on the good old iPhone 12. After a few walks out with Dash I soon realised that carrying…..

My Boys
Three styles, three personalities, three characters, three reasons to be happy.

Heartbreak
I don’t think anything can quite pain a parent as much as seeing their child in pain. But what lessons are we here to teach them? Do we shelter them from every possible point of hurt or pain or are…..

Triggered
What is a trigger? What is your trigger? We all have them, instances where we feel this build up of energy in our chest, anger, frustration, they show up in different ways. What makes one trigger…..

Drops in the ocean
Like drops in the ocean, we move with the currents of life, experiencing different depths, states and functions. When the sun shines upon us we rise to the skies, soaring above the earth in a fine haze…..

Beyond the bend
For the most part, in my decision making process, I weigh up a complex list possibilities and probable outcomes before I commit to choice. Its a form of trying to predict the future, the reality…..

Its time
Time to choose your direction and act, I found this excerpt on social media today and it’s so fitting for what I have experienced over the past few days. It’s such a simple but great way of summarising how…..

Looking in
So often we look outward to external factors that present themselves in our worlds and choose those factors as a point of focus, we use them as a reason for being happy, sad, angry or any other emotion that could arise…..

Spinning in circles
Some days you can conquer the world and nothing seems to get you down, and then there are others where you are putting in the work but just can’t see how its going to unfold in the future. Creating…..

Rolling with the homies
There is undoubtedly a special kind of communication going on between animals, I can go on a morning walk alone and all the dogs seem happy to just chill inside until their owners…..

Only you
With my boys getting to an age of spending lots of time with their friends, you kind of get the feeling that they might not want to engage with you as much as they used to. I find it quite heart…..

Stepping up
Over the past few weeks the boys have been carefully constructing a ramp for their bicycles, tweaking details here and there and improving their flying skills in-between. Today they built a second ramp…..

Energy in equals energy out
Leaving my photography duties till bed time is perhaps not the wisest move as trying to create something from a space of depleted energy will not yield the best results. This can put you in a state of…..

Clearing the way
What stands between you, your goals, your hopes and dreams? There could be financial barriers, geographical distance, mental and emotional blocks and the list could go in. For the most part I think we mostly…..

Feeling thankful
If its not building ramps to jump off then its jumping over bikes, this is the days of their lives. Garden vibes, memories of being a kid and grateful that my boys and their friends get to still experience a bit of…..

The gift of space
Having a large yard does have its perks and one of them is the ability to run wild. This is something Bjorn loves to do, chasing or in this case being chased. I love to hear how he laughs and screams with excitement…..

Numerology
“In numerology, the number 369 consists of the energies and vibrations of the numbers 3, 6, and 9. The number 3 resonates with creativity, self-expression, enthusiasm, and growth. The number 6 is associated…..

Fearless
I have to give credit to Plover birds, they fearlessly defend their eggs and their territory, day and night. Since Dash, our dog, was a puppy there has been this playful turf war going on. With Hope now in the mix…..

Colour temp
Rant alert, and I know i’m not alone. Ever wonder through someone’s house and see multiple different globes in their light fittings? Different shapes and sizes and more importantly different light temperatures…..

Necessary evil
20/20 vision except when it comes to close up. Short sightedness I believe, it seems like these glasses become inevitable as time passes by and the years tick over. A bit of a personal observation, I noticed my eyesight…..
