Running for success
Are runners generally more successful than non runners? This thought crossed my mind as I was chugging along in my morning run. What makes running different to all the other sports I have done such as cycling, enduro, tennis and so on. Running is a game of consistency, it’s putting one foot in front of the other, again and again, grinding along at the same pace and having the grit to do it. Success is built on consistency, moving forward and chipping away even when it may feel boring, it’s consistently doing even when you may not feel like it. If runners can tick away km after km in an ultra marathon, odds are consistency is part of their program.
