Fulfilling Promises

In the cold winter months it’s easy to slip into pattern of sitting by the nearest heat source and putting tasks on hold with the excuse of “it’s too cold to do that now”. Wanting to get back into healthy habits, last night I challenged myself to get up and head straight into the icy morning air. My motivation was two fold, one to break the cycle of waiting for perfect conditions and the other the get out and experience, sense and feel what the day had to offer. I have noticed a pattern within my routine, if I hit the snooze button and try stay in bed till the last possible moment, I spend the day feeling tired, lethargic and unmotivated. If I get up the moment I wake and have the attitude of “let me seize the day”, it’s usually filled with positivity and achievement. Each morning is an opportunity to have a beautiful day, how we choose to start it, determines its course.
