Authenticity

What is more attractive? Someone that looks the part but wears a mask covering who they really are or is it someone that shows up in which ever way they choose even if it is unpopular or doesn’t fit into the “norm”. In reality we are all born authentic, each as unique as our fingerprints, as we grow we get moulded by every interaction and influenced by external stimuli, twisting and shaping us into who we think we should be. Few manage to stand true to themselves with the barrage of opinions they continually face, those that do, are the ones that shine, centred within themselves, unshakable in their sense of who they are. Those that get led astray, find themselves living a life of unfulfilled promises and dreams, the life they imagined as kids gets watered down and they find themselves building everyone else’s dreams except their own. Living so far from your truth eventually leads to a breaking point and when that day comes, the hero’s journey begins. This is a painful and transformative process of unbundling everything you were never meant to be and coming back to everything that you are.
